Revelation

The author of Revelation is John, who had been persecuted and exiled to a remote island, essentially to silence him. But as Joseph once said, "what was meant for evil, God meant for good," for John emerged as one of the most profound voices in Eschatology. This is revealed in the very first verse, which carries the greatest HOPE of all: the Revelation of Jesus Christ. From this precious book, all scripture is intertwined, and it uniquely pronounces a special blessing for those who read it and listen intently. It contains letters to seven active churches of that time but also speaks to the Churches of our day. There is GLORIOUS imagery of Heaven and the one seated on the Throne, our Lord Jesus Christ. The book unfolds with a contrast between earthly scenes and the Heavenly Realm.

The "Last Days Prophecy" of Israel will follow the seven-year great tribulation, with 144,000 Jewish souls spiritually sealed as they come to faith in Jesus Christ as The Messiah. This period will culminate with the Victorious Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, ushering in the Millennium reign on earth of the King of Kings, including those clothed in glorified bodies; these are the Old Testament Saints, the Church, and martyred tribulation believers. As it is written, "Behold, the Lord has come with many thousands of His holy ones." The surviving Jewish and Gentile believers, who come to faith in Christ during the tribulation, will inhabit the Earth in their mortal bodies. However, all non-believers will be excluded from God's Kingdom and face eternal judgment.

I recommend that all believers engage in a deep dive study of Revelation, for it is life-changing. The book of Revelation reveals what lies on the horizon for us as adopted children of God; it is glorious, but for non-believers, great judgments will come upon the earth. The "Last Days" of "The Church" will culminate with the rapture of the church, "transformed in a twinkling of an eye." The dead in Christ will have their heavenly perfected spirits clothed in Glory, alongside the raptured living believers, who will be snatched away before the great tribulation. He has truly prepared a place for us, and as our time on earth is limited, our time in the presence of the Lord is eternal. The Millennium Reign is followed by a New Heaven and New Earth, with the heavenly Jerusalem coming down from above. We have such great HOPE and anticipation of God's Everlasting Kingdom.

"Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb. These are the true words of God." Mortal words can never fully express such great GLORY and HOPE, for He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Prince of Peace for Now and Forever. Amen!
