Romans through Jude
We can be bold with the message of the Gospel for it brings HOPE eternal to all that believe. The power of God unto the salvation of all mankind comes through faith; a message that must be shouted from the mountain tops.
We have such a great HOPE that brings victory over our sin nature. All glory to our Lord Jesus for his daily forgiveness and a path forward through a life in Christ.
There is great Freedom in Christ as we read in Galatians from religious rituals that have little to no value. Christ set as free from the Law, but we shouldn’t take this freedom as a license to sin and never take lightly the price that was paid for our redemption.
Paul understood he was a bondservant unto our Lord Jesus and encourages believers to walk in the way worthy of the calling on their lives. Never taking lightly the privilege of being adopted into the family of God; but to love with “humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another”.
Paul brings the true reality about the calling on his life as he writes, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain”. Life goes by so quickly, therefore we can “live our best life” not as the world interprets such but living out God’s calling on our life. We will never have all the answers but with a humble heart we can seek him in all we do.
In Colossians we read, “in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form”. Therefore, when we come before him in prayer, we speak to the one who has walked in our shoes and knows of all our needs. For in him we are made complete.
As we pore through Scriptures we are feeding on and taking in the very Words of God. Let these words seek deep, transforming us into the person God is calling us to be. Don’t allow the world back in, to take a foothold, but protect what has been entrusted to you. Always using Gods Word as the measuring stick against what the world calls wisdom. Remember that the Holy Spirit brings wisdom that is everlasting.
In Hebrews we are reminded that Jesus is the great High Priest and the only one worthy of praise. He is the Son of God, and we can stand firmly in our faith for he hears us when we call upon his name; he knows are needs before we even ask.
In James we hear of a comparison of man without a spirit not being alive and so is a living faith without works is not alive at all. Our faith drives us in all we do, therefore our actions will be driven by a transformed heart. The grace that God has shown us will in turn be available to those who have wronged us, for grace in action is forgiveness.
In 1st John we read of the fellowship we have with God and that it brings believers together. This shared fellowship comes as we are members of Gods eternal family. But we must be on-guard against false influences, forces of evil that would like to pull the Church apart. In 3rd John the author expresses, “I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth”. As a parent would agree, that having a child except Christ and to walk in the truth brings great joy, as we see God working in their life. Heaven rejoices when someone comes through faith to the throne of Christ and thereby having their name written into "The Lamb's Book of Life".
Next up is the "Book of Revelation"
